Brandvold Appraisal is a full service real estate appraisal company located in Marathon in the Fabulous Florida Keys. Our central location offers us easy access to the entire Florida Keys from Key Largo to Key West. We have been in business in the Florida Keys and Monroe County since 1994 and have appraised over 7,000 properties in this county. We specialize in residential appraisal and provide consulting work at the commercial level.

The company includes two certified general real estate appraisers:

Maria Brandvold, RZ 2054 and Denise Peterson, RZ 2819

Maria has been in the real estate field since 1986 and starting working as a real estate appraiser in 1988. She first worked at AREEA with Michael Cannon in Miami, one of the largest appraisal firms in the Southeasten US from 1988 to 1991. She moved to Greenwood, South Carolina and her practice consisted of appraising both commercial and residential properties from 1991-1994. In 1994 she moved to the Florida Keys to establish Brandvold Appraisal and has personally appraised over 5,000 properties in Monroe County.

Denise has worked at both the Palm Beach and Monroe County Property Appraiser’s Offices and has been appraising property in Monroe County in the private sector since 2001.

Both women hold the highest licenses available in the State of FL, the State Certified General License.
